History of visual kei bands

There are many visual kei bands in Japan. Allmost all the bands members has fantastic hairs, dark make-up and fansy costumes. I have heard some visual kei bands are famous in foreign countries. Espeailly, Dir en grey, Versallies, Matenrou opera are known to famous visual kei bands.

 But I think that if we consider history of visual kei bands, Contribution of X Japan is essential for us to talk with visual kei bands.So they are the most famous the bands in japan. Therefore, many other visual kei bands prentend them.

This photo is about X japan. Toshi(vo.) has a good clear voice. Yoshiki(piano or drum) and Hide(guiter) had a talented musitian. But unfortunately, Hide died in 1998, Because of accident (Suicide?). Then,  over his 1000 fans came to his funeral. It was as a Social phonomena.
 
I reccomend you should listen to their songs if you are interested in visual kei bands. So I think that they explored Japanese visual kei.
